For Immediate ReleaseApril 6th, 2005 –BOSTON – With less than a year under their belts and no album release as of yet, Boston's THE VITAL MIGHT continues to bring out larger and larger crowds at venues in Boston and New York. They play WFNX's New England Product show on Friday, April 28th at Bill's Bar on Lansdowne St. with Hooray for Earth and The Loud Clappers. The weekend following, they play Arlene's Grocery on Stanton St. in New York City on Friday, May 5th.

Formed in June of 2005, THE VITAL MIGHT is already making significant progress with airplay on WBCN 104.1FM, WAAF 107.3FM and WFNX 101.7FM, well-attended shows at The Paradise, Middle East, Harper’s Ferry, and The Abbey Lounge along with a 3-song demo, and an LP in the works. WBCN’s local music director Shred said “THE VITAL MIGHT are proving they are a band to be reckoned with.” Fillmore Slim of The Noise said “The Vital Might certainly take on a bit more of an ambitious template...It really works on the disc’s final track, ‘The Day,’ where the distortion pedal is doing what it’s supposed to, and that is making the little hairs on the back of your neck stand up. The triumphant chorus makes me want to save kids from a burning building.”

A full-length release is slated for late summer.
